This is the

Ingredients
for Pressure cooking Tamil nadu ven pongal recipe
Raw rice (pacharici)- 1 cup
Green gram Dal- ½ cup
Asafotida – a pinch
Grated ginger – 1tsp
Salt – as per taste
Water or milk – 3 cups
Tamil nadu Pongal
recipe Sautéing ingredients
Oil – 1tsp
Ghee – 5tsp
Cashew – 8no
Cumin seed – 1 tsp
Pepper – 1tsp
Green chillies – 2 chopped
Curry leaves – little
How to prepare Tamil nadu ven
Pongal recipe
- Fry the broken green gram dal in a pan until it becones golden in colour.
- Then soak the fried dal and raw rice for about half an hour.
- After half an hour cook the given cooking ingredients in a pressure cooker.
- After getting one whistle, wait for some time and let the pressure to go out.
- Now, take a pan and add oil, sauté the above given sautéing ingredients.
- Add it with the cooked pongal and mix well.
- Finally add the ghee and mix nicely, the best combination for Tamil ven pongal recipe Tamil sambar and coconut chutney.
